About Angel
Since
her arrival in Los Angeles, she has appeared
in soaps, sit-coms, television dramas and
films. A member of both AFTRA and SAG
unions, she is a winner of America's
Funniest People and has appeared on BET's
Comic View and Show Me the Funny. She is

As an accomplished actress she has appeared
in numerous theatrical productions. Angel's
one-woman show, Starting Over placed in the
finals of the playwright division in the
1995 Talent Fest Competition. She is
currently working on a rewrite of the show
in preparation for an industry showcase in
the near future. Angel is the founder of
Smile Productions that developed the comedy
showcase Comedy Flavors. She is active in
the Comedians Caucus and her style has been
labeled classy with a cutting edge.
Angel is
an award winning voice-over performer with
two consecutive Achievement In Radio Awards
for her outstanding work. Her voice
versatility ranges from commercials,
narrations, ADR work and cartoons such as
Rug Rats, Monsters, and Captain Planet.
Angel is an active member of Women in
Animation, and weekdays her comedic voice
can be heard on the Tom Joyner Morning Show
as Doctor Cotton and Coral in the zany radio
soap “It's Your World."
Angel is
the executive producer of Heaven Sent
Productions. As a producer, she has received
an award for Outstanding Achievement from
the American Women In radio and Television
for producing the documentary, Due Process
of the Law. In June 2001, Angel's
documentary "Keeping The Faith With
Morrie" won "Best Direction" and in
February 2002, at the Hollywood Black Film
Festival, "Keeping the Faith with Morrie"
won "Best Documentary". She is currently
working on a 60-minute version of the
documentary to be distributed to schools and
libraries. In addition, Angel is pursuing a
production deal to have the Wee Pals comic
strip made into a television series entitled
"Rainbow Squad."
Like
most people in the entertainment industry,
Angel has other interests that make her
money in between entertainment gigs. In the
past Angel has benefited from a career in
broadcast sales and marketing. She has
worked in radio, television, and cable TV.
She is also a graduate of The Urban League
School of Technology where she studied
computer programming. Currently she is
working (part-time) at Shomex Productions.
This company produces diversity career fairs
around the country.
She is
originally from Harlem, in New York City.
Her mother was born in Havana, Cuba and
raised in Kingston, Jamaica. Her father is
from Hookerton, North Carolina. She enjoys
her ethnic mix and shares the humor of her
heritage with her comedy audience.
Angel
graduated from Cornell University, with a
Bachelor of Science degree in Radio and
Television Production. Following her
education, she moved to Washington, D.C.
There she enjoyed success in both broadcast
sales and acting.
Some of
the hobbies she enjoys are: Salsa and Hip
Hop dancing, Roller Skating, theater,
movies, concerts, and spending time with
friends and family.
Currently, Angel is single and a born again
Christian. She attends church at the Oasis
Church in Hollywood California and is active
in the NAACP's Cinema Committee and Women In
Animation.
